Matej Cesak
started with Motocross when he was five years old, inspired by his dad, who was
riding Enduro. 2 years later he reached the 2nd place at the Czech MX
Championship on the 50ccm motorcycle. When he turned eight years old, he tried
to jump a ramp for the first time. Since then he continued with Freestyle
Motocross and still loves it. At the age of 16 the Czech athlete did his first
backflip to dirt and only a couple of days later he stomped his first flip at a
show during the Masters of Dirt in Bern/Switzerland. With that success on his
bucket Matej flew to Mexico joining the Xpilots series in Mexico City. Matej
rode the Czech FMX Championship 2017 and jumped on the podium. He reached 3rd
place of the overall ranking.
In 2018 Cesak
got his first invitation to the NIGHT of the JUMPs making his debut on the FIM
Freestyle MX World Championship series. 2019 the Czech extreme sports athlete
won the “Sickest Whip Contest” at the Masters of Dirt in Vienna/AUT and reached
the semifinals at the FMX Gladiator Games in Prague/CZE.
2020 when the Covid 19 pandemic shut down all events
in Europe, Matej Cesak has been crowned the first ever e-FMX World Champion in
a tight gaming competition on the mobile game TiMX: This is Motocross. In the
first mayor FMX contest in Europe after the lockdown Matej Cesak joined Team
Germany at the NIGHT of the JUMPs / Freestyle of Nations in Basel/Switzerland.
The Czech rider made a solid Freestyle run, won the Synchro contest together
with Kai Haase and had a triumphal success in the whip contest, in which he was
able to defeat X Games Gold winners like Edgar Torronteras.
